KFTLC Fanfiction And A New LOTR Archive

Attention Fuies, the KFTLC fanfiction archive has returned.   After many email requests to bring it back, I finally gave in.   Please be aware some stories might not have uploaded correctly.  If you find a missing story or chapter, email me with the information.

Also, since I have jumped into the Lord of the Rings fandom about a year ago, I have run into a small problem.  It seems most of the archives dedicated to the fandom contain slash and / or RPS stories.  Almost none are gen-only.  After speaking with a few LOTR writers, I discovered they too desire a gen-only archive.   So in the coming days, a new LOTR archive will be coming online.  If you are a LOTR (gen) writer, consider archiving your stories there.  All movie and book verse stories are welcome.

Hollywood’s Political Loonicy

With numerous actresses and actors coming out of the woodwork attacking Sarah Palin, it makes me wonder if any of these people realize how stupid they really sound?

Lindsay Lohan - She wrote this in her blog   'I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin. I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only four years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor, which is probably all she is qualified to be.'

Lindsay Lohan is in no position to slam anyone.  What exactly has she done except to show the rest of the world how to self-destruct?  I find it strange that Lohan attacks Sarah Palin, claiming Palin is unprepared for a job at the White House, yet she endorses Obama, but doesn’t question his qualifications?  Isn’t that an oxymoron?  If anyone is narrow-minded, it’s Lindsay Lohan.

Pamela Anderson - She told E! News from Canada, 'I can't stand her.  She can suck it,” Well, Pam, if anyone knows how to suck it...it's you!

Barbara Streisand - She believes McCain picked Palin to lure away former Clinton supporters.  "We are not that stupid!!!!!!" She wrote.

Maybe she has a point, maybe she doesn't.  But Babs has a record of trying to buy her favorite candidate's way into the White House.  Her latest attempt is hosting a private dinner party for millionaires.

Matt Damon: Speaking to the AP, Damon said:  "In terms of governance, it's a disaster. You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance McCain doesn't survive his first term and it'll be President Palin," he continued.  "It's like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom, 'I'm a just a hockey mom from Alaska', and then she's the president and facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's totally absurd.  "I don't understand why more people aren't talking about it. It's a really terrifying possibility and we're that close to this being a reality is crazy."  He went on: "I need to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago, because she's going to have the nuclear codes. I want to know that, or if she banned books, or if she tried to. We can't have that."

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out Matt Damon's logic.  He's horrified if McCain is elected and dies in office, Palin becomes president.  Why, because he doesn't know Sarah Palin's opinion on 'Dinosaurs'...?  She banned books?  Perhaps if Damon did some real research, he might actually learn something.  For starters, Sarah Palin never banned any books.  It was debunked on snopes' website.  As to Damon's other fear...the dinosaurs.  What does dinosaurs have to do with nuclear codes?  Perhaps Damon is trying to be political correct and trying not to offend Dino and Barney the Dinosaur.  Who knows!

The ladies on the view:  Did anyone notice the ladies' difference of behavior and mannerism when they interviewed both presidential candidates separately?  I think even Obama was embarrassed by their behavior.  I swear I thought Barbara Walters was going to jump Barack’s bones right then and there…then again, it wouldn’t be the first time Barbara messed with a married man.

Sandra Bernhardt: I’m not going into details of what this idiot said, just google it and prepared to be shocked.  I’m just surprised there isn’t any outrage over this….then again, Hollywood liberals can get away with anything….

Sean ‘Diddy’ Holms:  I saw his video on You-Tube and couldn’t stop laughing.  He’s thinks Palin is scarier than the boogeyman?  Well, considering Diddy doesn’t live in the real world, I guess he believes there is a boogeyman.

With 99.5% of Hollywood publicly endorsing Obama and viciously attacking the other side, shouldn't they worry about a backlash?  Perhaps, the truth is they don't care what America thinks of them.  After all, most of these people strive on shock value, self-absorbency, and belittling normal Americans who don't endorse their morals and views of the world.

Hollywood stars are entitled to their own political opinions, but when they forgo respect and common decency for cheap publicity, this normal American will post her small opinion on them as well.

This Week's Political Scene

When I first decided to create a live Journal, my intentions were to just give updates on my fan fiction and post local things that mattered to me.  However, the political scene has gotten my attention.  I have now decided to give my opinions on weekly political events.  Feel free to agree or disagree - (this journal is friends only, so befriend me first).  This might prove interesting.

The lipstick on the pig remark!  No, I do not think Sen. Barack Obama's comment was directed at Sarah Palin.   It's an old saying and anyone, (I'm talking about you, Karl Rove) who believes it was a sexist remark against Alaska's Governor is really grasping for straws.

The Democrats ad attacking McCain for being computer illiterate!   This ad will come home and bite Obama in the butt.  Who ever approved this ad is not only insensitive but they just pissed off millions of voters.  For starters, many people can't afford computers, does this make them stupid?  There is a whole generation of voters who grew up without computers, does this make them stupid?  Trust me, this ad is insulting, especially to our senior citizens.   Case and point - my father is a life long democrat.  He has always voted for the Democratic candidate, even Jimmy Carter!  He planned to vote for Obama, but now he's pissed.  My father has never used a computer and in his own words, 'has no need for one'.  The Democratic Party better buy cases of Chap Stick and start kissing up before it's too late.

The Daily Koz and the Huffington Post:  Enough is enough!  These two bigot websites make the Weekly World News look creditable.  These liberal bloggers are cowards who have no honor.  They repeatedly posted vicious lies about Palin, only to be discredited and proven liars.  Did they retract their lies?  No, like the gutless worms they are, they made up new lies.  Last weekend, I learned something very disturbing, - NBC's reporters blog on the Daily Koz, which proves how bias NBC has become.  Now we know why MSNBC has gone down the tubes!

More opinionated political headlines next week.....................

Political Rant Ahead

Ok, hell has frozen over.  I've posted a political comment.  Run now, before the devil starts ice skating.

Seriously, I am a proud Independent.  Over the years, I have voted for different Democrat, Republican, and Independent candidates.  I have never been a one party voter.  While I enjoy discussing politics, I have never tried to convince anyone how they should vote.  Until now!

No, this post isn't about Obama or McCain.  It's about the Green Party's candidate.

How anyone in this party could have stood by and allowed Cynthia McKinney to represent them is beyond my understanding.  I actually question their sanity.   What really scares me is this horrible thought - 'Does the Green Party share McKinney's bigotry?'  If so, then sadly, the Green Party has become the new Klu Klux Klan.

I live in Georgia and have heard Cynthia McKinney's vicious bigotry for years.   She constantly surrounds herself with those who shares her poisonous views.  While Georgia has had its share of questionable elected candidates, this woman is dangerous and has no place in politics.  McKinney and her entourage have repeatedly proven this point by their outrageous behavior after she suffered an election loss.

For those leaning towards the Green Party, all I ask is that you do a little research on your candidate before you cast your vote.  If you then decide to vote for Cynthia McKinney, then that is your right....just don't say you weren't warned.

The KFTLC Fandom

Just when you think the Fu fandom is dead, [info]valleya writes a new story.

Fandom updates --- again!

Eight weeks since I last updated?   I promised an fan fiction update didn't I?  Did I lie?  No, but you know how life gets and time gets away.

Seriously, I'm in the process of re-launching Kaleidopy's Liar.  Nothing is uploaded yet, but I hope to have something there by the end of the month.

For those not aware, the KFTLC website will be coming down permanently on June 15th.  Since most of the stories are archived on Fan Fiction Writers, the Fu site has become obsolete.   Writers, please make sure your KFTLC stories are archived on FFW.  Do not email me requesting that I do it for you.  I simply do not have the time, nor the desire.

My Fan Fiction Stories

Yeah, I know I have been neglecting my stories.  For those that have asked,  I have not stopped working on them.

Here is the list on the main unfinished stories that I am currently working on and when to expect an update:

  1. Matter of Trust:  At present, this story is where my muse is playing.  Lord of the Rings is a very large fandom and with me being a newcomer, I'm still getting my feet wet.  With a wonderful lady who volunteered to be my beta, the story is slowly coming together.  I hope to have the next chapter ready within six weeks.

  1. A Family Divided: The one everyone keeps emailing me about it's status.   Yes, I know it has been almost two years since I last updated the story, but let me explain the reason.  Warning:  long rant ahead...You have been warned.
Never have I wrote a story that was written out of spite.  And 'A Family Divided' was on the verge of becoming my first.  I had to stop writing to prevent that from happening.  After thirty years of collecting Marvel comics, I stopped buying them because Marvel kept hiring bigots and lazy fanboys to write the X-Men comics.   Yes, it saved me a lot of money, but the constant storylines written by the Rogue obsessed fanboys, slowly turned me against the character and that was something I never thought could happen.  She was my favorite X-woman.  But the years of Marvel writing Rogue at Gambit's expense, especially after The Messiah Complex storyline ended, it only confirmed how disgusted I had become with the entire X-Men franchise.

When I first started writing 'A Family Divided ', the plot was completed, but so much has changed since then.  To the fans who have waited for an update, I thank you for your patience.  I promise it has not been in vain.  The gloves have come off.  The story now has a new plot and will take a different and much darker path.  Expect an update with two weeks.

  1. Judgment: Would you believe that I plotted this story back in 2000?  I had big plans for Judgment, which included a sequel, but due to the disintegration of the Kung Fu: The Legend Continues fandom, those plans have gone out the window.  FuRenagades, once a fun place for all KFTLC writers, has become an albatross.  After several attempts to revive the list, I find myself no longer caring and that is sad.  There are wonderful people on FuRenagades, especially very good friends, and they deserve better than what has become of the list.  As for Judgment, the story will be updated, but until the muse returns don't expect an update soon.  But you never know......<EG>

There are more stories in the planning stages, but until at least one of them are completed, I will not start another story.  For Fu fans who requested a sequel to 'Past Regrets', Paige and I will begin working on a plot this summer.

The Draught Worsens - Who to Blame?

WSB has some great pictures how serious the draught has become.  Check them out here.

The draught continues to worsen in the Deep South, turning the southern states into warring neighbors.  Alabama has filed a lawsuit against Georgia over water rights, and Florida blames the Metro-Atlanta area for its careless strategy planning for North Georgia’s over population boom.  Personally, I blame Atlanta and the metro area's greed for the problem that threatens the dwindling water reservoirs.

For years, businesses were lured to Metro Atlanta by greedy politicians who disregarded the warning signs that over population would create.  The surrounding counties' citizens had no voice in Atlanta’s greed.  We were not allowed to vote, and our protests of the destruction of thousands of trees to make room for hundreds of new subdivisions and buildings were ignored.  Instead, we have been forced to suffer massive over population growth, nightmarish traffic, health threatening pollution, and worse the growing dangerous crime rates.   Who is to blame?  I think the answer is very clear.
